Bugling--A Ritual of the Rut I

This younger bull elk is bugling during the fall rut, or mating season. Males bugle to attract a mate and to warn other bulls away. You can also see that he is wearing his 'cologne' of mud mixed with his urine from wallowing, and full of pheromones, to attract a mate.
