Pika Jumping with Harvest in Mouth

Description

This pika at the Rock Cut overlook on Rocky Mountain National Park's Trail Ridge Road is stocking up on grasses for the winter and leaping from rock to rock with its harvest. Pika's are related to the rabbit family and are an indicator species because they are susceptible to the heat and lack of insulating snow brought on by climate change.
